Welcome to Bonne Fleur

An Isle of Wight Independent Florist

So, who's behind Bonne Fleur?

My name is Dianne and I have loved flowers since I was a young girl and smelt roses in the garden, now one of my favourite flowers. I love giving and receiving flowers and believe that even the smallest bunch can brighten your day.

I have always liked arranging flowers and after moving to the Isle of Wight I did a short flower arranging course at the Islands college, the tutor had a flower shop and took me on. I was hooked.

I have also attended embroidery courses at the Royal School of Needlework and learnt that I have a good eye for colour. Creating a bouquet is like creating a living embroidery.

After working in floristry for others I started Bonne Fleur working from home and have not looked back. Not only do I specialise in wedding flowers, I have done flowers that were presented to Sophie Countess of Wessex amongst other events.

Happiness is to hold flowers in both hands" ~ Japanese proverb

A bride holds her Bouquet in both hands, her Wedding Day is one of the happiest in her life. It is not only the union of two people, its the union of two families and two sets of friends. It is a day of joy and laughter that is remembered by everyone.

It is important to me to take the dreams of the Bride and Groom, and make them into a reality. Thus helping to make their big day as happy as possible with flowers that enhance their vision.

A little introduction to the wedding service..

I work with the best quality fresh or silk flowers but I only do one fresh wedding on any given day.

For your consultation, I usually meet at your home as I find couples feel more relaxed in their own surroundings, at a time convenient to both of us. We can meet elsewhere if you wish.

If you live on the mainland I can do a telephone consultation and meet with you when you come to the Island. If you are getting married on the mainland, and wish to use me as your florist, I do charge the additional travel costs.

You may know exactly what you would like, or you may need guidance. My job as your florist is to work with you to provide flowers that enhance your wedding day.

You may only want flowers for the Bridal Party, or you might like me to decorate the church, reception or venue. Any of this is possible and you still get the same service.

By doing one wedding only I can make myself available for the pinning on of buttonholes, corsages etc. There is no extra cost for this, it is the service that I am happy to provide.

Dianne was our florist for our wedding in 2016.
Rather than going to a shop where we would have received a standard service we wanted some to give our day the personal touch. Dianne made the time to meet with us and go through our options, she listened to what we had planned and made suggestions for the best flowers to use & she thought of things we hadn't.
Our flowers on the day were absolutely stunning and surpassed our expectations. Many of guests commented on the quality and presentation of our flowers.
For someone who gives you the attention to detail that your special day deserves and treats you more like a friend & not a customer, you need to choose Dianne

From the moment we met Dianne at a wedding fayre we knew that we wanted her to do our wedding. From that moment Dianne was professional but more importantly friendly, kind and caring. She put us at ease and listened to everything we wanted at the consultation and was not pushy.
Fast forward to the wedding and Dianne knew we had suffered a family breavement days before the day and arrived with a single white rose to put next to a candle in memory. She continued to be amazing on the day by making sure the guys had their botton holes sorted in suits to giving me a lesson on how to hold the bouquet correctly to get the best pics.
We loved every touch Dianne did and the flowers were amazing! So much so we still have the bouquet and grooms button hole on a shelf in our house as they dried fantastically.

    What a lovely lady!
I had a beautiful bouquet, table decorations and button holes made by Dianne, who gave her all to make my wedding day the best it could be!
